 Fall
A drought trend seems to be in place.
Watering for new plantings is allowed

Things to do
Mulch plantings with 3 inches of pinestraw.  We do not recommend
the various colored mulches as they tend to utilize the available
nutrients as they decompose.  Pine bark nuggets or Cypress mulch is
    preferred.
   Thin or deep prune larger
    specimens.
Pre emergent weed control for winter weeds
    Aerate and seed fescue lawns
Pruning trees that are shading lawns

Garden Pest to watch for:
Lace bugs and scale insects on shrubs
Poa annua weed grass and other perennial poa species
Wooly Adelgid on Hemlock (new pest alert for this area)
        Seredium Canker on Leyland Cypress
Bagworm on juniper, cedar, and other evergreens
