Answers to
some of your questions:
Why are there some weeds in my lawn?
There are weeds that are considered
perennials and will return year after year.
Chemical control takes time to eradicate.
The grass like weed that is currently growing
in dormant lawns is of a poa species. Pre
emergents generally control the weed, but in
certain cases the length of control may not have
been adequate.
Why do some plants have spots on leaves?
Generally these are those plants that require
frequent pruning. Pruning causes stress to plants
and will increase disease susceptibility. Disease
spores become active early spring and will spread
to other parts of the plant by wind and water.
Horticultural oil minimizes penetration into the
plant.
